Because of the nature of this business, CYBIRD handles a wide variety of information including personal information received from its customers. CYBIRD Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “CYBIRD”) makes a companywide effort to protect personal information based on the recognition that “personal information protection is one of the most important issues it faces as part of its operations. Moreover, CYBIRD handles entrusted personal information appropriately in the course of conducting the business of providing information services.
In the course of conducting its core business, the information service business, CYBIRD collects and uses an enormous number of items of personal information. CYBIRD collects personal information only by fair and legitimate means, never makes use of this information for purposes other than for its original intended purpose of use, limits the scope of its use, and handles all personal information appropriately.
In order to ensure that its executive officers and employees recognize the importance of personal information protection, CYBIRD has developed a management system with respect to personal information protection and incorporated this into its everyday business rules, and endeavors to observe, maintain, and continuously improve these rules.
In handling personal information, CYBIRD’s management system complies with all laws, government guidelines and other regulations regarding the protection of personal information.
Based on the provision of information services as its core business, CYBIRD implements appropriate management measures for each type of business it undertakes in order to prevent unauthorized access to, leakage, and loss of the personal information in its possession.
In addition to making every effort to promote awareness among its executive officers and employees of the need for personal information protection, CYBIRD conducts education and training concerning the management system with respect to personal information protection.
While working to prevent the occurrence of any accidents related to information security, in the event of an accident occurring, CYBIRD will promptly take appropriate response measures including preventative steps against the reoccurrence of such an accident.
CYBIRD has established a Complaints and Inquiries Counter in order to respond appropriately and promptly to complaints and inquiries from individuals regarding their personal information.
With a view to the appropriate protection and use of personal information, CYBIRD has established and is maintaining internal rules regarding personal information protection and information security. In addition, CYBIRD is making a continuous effort to periodically review, maintain, and improve its internal rules including implementing corrective measures as required.

2-1.Definition of Personal Information
2-2.Purpose of Use of Personal Information
Customers will be asked to provide personal information only when this is needed in order to obtain services on this website, such when as making inquiries or applying (registering) through recruitment pages. Personal information will also be used as statistical data for the purpose of improving services. Personal information obtained from customers will be used only within the specified range of purposes of use. Personal information will never be used other than for the stated purposes of use without the customer’s prior consent. Moreover, CYBIRD sometimes accepts the entrustment of business involving the processing of personal information in whole or in part from other business operators. In such instances, CYBIRD will not make use of the information beyond the range necessary for the execution of the entrusted business in question.
2-3. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties
CYBIRD will not disclose or provide personal information supplied by customers to any third parties, except in the circumstances stated below.
When the customer has given their prior consent
When the handling of personal information is outsourced to a cooperating company, affiliate or outsourcing company with which CYBIRD has a personal information non-disclosure agreement and the information is used only within the range necessary to achieve the purpose of use that has been specified to the customer
When personal information is processed into statistical data, etc. and the identity of the individuals can no longer be determined (example: age-classified breakdown of applicants or prizes, etc.)
When the disclosure of personal information is required by law
2-4. Careful management of Personal Information
CYBIRD will take all reasonable and appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, destruction, alteration or leakage of its customers’ personal information in order to ensure the secure management of such information. Moreover, when customers provide CYBIRD with personal information, as a precaution against unauthorized access by third parties, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption or equivalent security technology will be used to receive the information in an effort to safeguard its security.
2-5. Requests for Reviewing, Correcting or Deleting Personal Information
When customers are asked to provide personal information, a clearly marked inquiry window will appear on the screen. Customers who wish to review, correct or delete personal information that they have provided are asked to make their request using this inquiry window. After the person making the request has been confirmed as being the person to whom the personal information pertains, within a reasonable period of time the personal information will be disclosed, corrected or deleted accordingly. 2-6. Handling of Personal Information After the Expiry of the Usage Period
CYBIRD will promptly and completely delete any personal information for which the usage period has expired at the end of the information’s designated storage period, as determined under the in-house rules. Moreover, CYBIRD will not store or retain such personal information on a separate backup database, etc.
2-7. Protection of Personal Information of Customers Under the Age of 16
CYBIRD takes the greatest possible care in protecting the personal information of customers under the age of 16. Customers under the age of 16 should always obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before providing their personal data.
If you visit CYBIRD’s website repeatedly, you will be sent a data package called a cookie that will be stored in your computer’s hard drive and will distinguish you from other customers to the website and provide you with a more convenient browsing experience. A cookie does not identify you as a specific individual. You can change your browser’s settings to accept or reject cookies, but this may interfere with the normal functioning of the website.
